Copyright & Takedown Policy

Our content

Vivace Music publishes three kinds of material:

For rights holders — requesting removal

If you own the rights to a musical work (or represent someone who does) and you believe any page or file on vivace-music.org infringes those rights, we will remove it promptly. Please send a notice containing:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work (title, writers, publisher).
  2. The exact URL(s) on vivace-music.org you want removed.
  3. Your name, organisation and contact details.
  4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the rights holder, their agent, or the law.

Send takedown notices via our contact page. We aim to act on valid notices within 72 hours, and removed works are added to an internal blocklist so they are not re-published.

Attribution & sources

Public-domain digital editions are sourced from openly licensed collections, including OpenScore (CC0), the KernScores / Humdrum archives, and our own engravings from historical prints. Where an encoder or editor is credited in the source, that credit is preserved in the score file.

Using our material

You are welcome to use our public-domain engravings for any purpose. For everything else, see the terms of use — in short: personal, educational and non-commercial use is fine; redistribution or resale is not.
